AUBURN — A1 Superior Cleaning is celebrating its five-year anniversary. What started out as a one-person, mobile detailing business in the Lewiston Auburn area has grown into a small company of 13 employees and contractors, offering seven services across the state.

The company specializes in stripping and waxing floors, tile and grout, carpet, furniture, residential and commercial contract cleaning, as well as car interior detailing. A1 remains a mobile-based service, but is looking to add a brick and mortar location for its detailing service in the near future.

Owner Marcus White Sr. said their biggest local contract is with Central Maine Health Care where they provide discharge cleanings, floor care and housekeeping services. “We love the fact that we are able to help make our local hospitals a cleaner environment for the staff and patients,” White said.

The company is looking to expand its commercial cleaning and housekeeping services as it marks its anniversary this year.

“We are happy to be apart of the LA community,” White said, “and plan to keep growing to show young inner-city kids that anything is possible … no matter what type of circumstances you grow up in or around.”
