WILTON — A Jay man escaped injury Friday morning when the logging truck he was driving rolled over on U.S. Route 2.
Jordan True was driving a 2018 Peterbilt logging truck eastbound on Route 2 when he swerved to avoid a deer at 5:33 a.m. His tires caught some snow, and the truck rolled into the ditch, Wilton Police Officer Brian Lynch said.
The truck was headed to the Sappi paper mill in Skowhegan, Lynch said.
The road was closed for 15 to 20 minutes while crews removed the truck. The logs were placed on another truck for transport to the mill.
There were no injuries and no other vehicles involved in the crash.
