AUBURN — Those thinking about home projects this year may want to visit the Maine Home Show at the Norway Savings Bank Arena on Turner Street this weekend.
The show runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the arena at 985 Turner St.
At least 85 exhibitors will offer everything from banking services to design services, lumber to concrete, spas to solar. The complete list can be found at the Maine Home Show home page online.
National experts from the home services and real estate industry predict the top five categories consumers will focus on this year for home projects will be: offices, outdoor living spaces, energy efficiency, bathroom and kitchen upgrades, and accessory apartments and multi-dwelling residences, according to Spruce, a home-improvement website.
Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors 65 and older and veterans, free for children with a paying adult. Tickets can be purchased at the home show website or at the door with cash or credit card. Parking is free.
There will be a food truck outside at lunchtime both days and food options nearby.
Last year, about 3,000 people attended and organizer Travis Dow said he’s hopeful even more will come this weekend.
