Bates College recognizes local dean’s list students

LEWISTON — The following local students have been named to the 2022 fall semester dean’s list at Bates College. This is a distinction earned by students whose grade point average is 3.92 or higher.

Mia Shifrin of Weld, daughter of Brett Shifrin and Sara Shifrin, is a graduate of Gould Academy. She is a senior majoring in sociology and minoring in rhetoric, film, screen studies and gender and sexuality studies.

Ed Zuis of Monmouth, son of Edmund Zuis and Catherine Squires, is a graduate of Monmouth Academy. He is a junior majoring in biological chemistry and mathematics.

Colin Marquis Boutin of Mechanic Falls, son of Todd Marquis Boutin and Lori Marquis Boutin, is a graduate of Poland Regional High School. He is a junior majoring in politics and minoring in Chinese.

Gianluca Yornet de Rosas of Lewiston, son of Mario Yornet and Mariana De Rosas Videla, is a graduate of United World College, ISAK Japan. He is a junior majoring in environmental studies and minoring in French and Francophone studies.

Zoe Maguire of Lovell, daughter of Michael Maguire and Thelma Maguire, is a graduate of Fryeburg Academy. She is a senior majoring in psychology.

Allison Baker of Bridgton, daughter of Daniel Baker and Meagan Baker, is a graduate of Lake Region High School. She is a first-year student.

Delaney Rankin of Harrison, daughter of Deane Rankin and Sandra Rankin, is a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy. She is a first-year student.
