GALVESTON, Texas – Sandra Beth Rosenthal Miller passed away in Galveston Texas on March 8, 2023. She was born on April 17, 1934 in Waterville. Her parents were Paulyn E. Miller Rosenthal and Philip Rosenthal. Sandra graduated from Lewiston High School in 1951. She married Allen Miller in 1954. They lived in multiple locations around the country before moving to Lewiston in 1970.
She was predeceased by her son, Martin, in 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Allen; daughter, Rebecca Meick and husband Ronald Meick, her daughter, Barbara Legate and her husband Donald Legate and her daughter-in-law, Linda Corman Miller. She is also survived by three grandsons, Philip Meick and his wife Michelle, Ethan Meick and his wife Tiffany, Benjamin Miller; great-granddaughter, Maud Meick; and many cousins and friends.
She enjoyed knitting, cooking, reading, playing mah jongg but most of all traveling, specifically cruising. Sandra was diagnosed with both breast cancer and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 1995 and spent a lot of time trying to help others with information she picked up at seminars.
The Millers moved from Maine to Galveston, Texas, in 2005 to be with family and friends. Sandra lived her final years at The Meridian in Galveston where she received extremely good care. The family would like to thank the staff at the Meridian and at Accentcare Hospice for their generous care and support.
