AUBURN — The Community Little Theatre is scheduled to hold its first-ever Shadow Puppet Camp for children ages 8-12 during school vacation week, Monday-Saturday, April 17-22.

The camp will be held every day from 9-11:30 a.m. at the 30 Academy St. theater.

Participants can learn about the history and performance techniques of shadow puppetry, create puppets and scenery, rehearse, and ultimately produce their own show, which will be an original adaptation of H.C. Andersen’s “Thumbelina,” according to a news release from Roger Philippon with the theater.

No experience is required, although campers should have some experience with using scissors.

The camp will culminate with a performance of “Thumbelina” at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22. The public will be invited to attend, and tickets will be available at the door for $5.
