100 Years Ago: 1923

A whist party will be held at the new clubrooms of the BPW club Thursday evening. All the members, who care to attend are asked to notify Miss Charlotte Ball at 193-M or 2020 by Thursday morning.

50 Years Ago: 1973

There were two winners from Pennell Junior High at the Triple Science Fair on the weekend at Gorham. They were Roy Clark who placed second in the exhibit category, and Georgia Humphrey of grade 7 who won third place in the experimental demonstration category. Gorham schools won first place.

25 Years Ago: 1998

The Lewiston Public Library Children’s Department staff will have Spring Fever from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday as a spring flower craft and song program will be held for children ages 4-10. It is free and open to the public.
