Robert Alfred Couture

LISBON – Robert Alfred Couture, 81, of Lisbon, died Friday afternoon at his home with his loving family by his side. Born on June 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Anatole E. Couture and Georgianna (Martin) Couture of Lisbon. He received an Honorable Discharge, July 12, 1963, after serving proudly as a United States Marine. On April 23, 1983, he married the love of his life, Fernande Lucille (Brochu) Costello. Bob was a member of Holy Trinity Church, a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and the North Atlantic Carpenters Union. He was also employed at Bath Iron Works. He enjoyed woodworking as a career and a hobby. He was also an avid outdoorsman who liked to spend time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, camping, and boating. He also loved dancing with his wife wife, Fern, and friends. Survivors include his wife Fern Couture, a daughter, Barbara (Couture) Minkowsky and son-in-law James Minkowsky, both of Monmouth, a stepdaughter, Gail (LaFrance) Doyle and husband Richard Doyle of Lewiston, a stepson, John Costello and his partner Lawrence Carlin, of Newton MA, two grandchildren, Alyssa Yohe and Fiance Thomas Grinnan of Brunswick, and Michael Yohe of Lamoine, and one great grandchild Thomas Grinnan the V. He will be deeply missed by all and never forgotten. He was predeceased by his brother Norman Couture.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday April 4, at 11 a.m., at Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon. Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday April 11 at t 12 p.m., Noon, at Maine Veterans Cemetery Civic Center Drive in Augusta.
