To the Editor:

Nick and Tasha Chapman lost their home to a fire in early March. They have three children. The fire took all of their belongings and all of their family pets. To say this family suffered a devastating blow is an understatement.
The community’s love and support have been incredible thus far! There is a Go Fund Me and a fire relief account set up for the Chapmans at Northeast Bank.
One more effort is being made by hosting a Spaghetti Dinner at the Jackson Silver Post #68, Gore Rd, Greenwood ME. The dinner will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Dinner will include all of the fixings of a spaghetti dinner, beverage, and dessert. Dinner is offered by donation of $5 per child and $10 per adult. Along with the dinner, there will be a 50/50 raffle, Silent Ticket Raffle, and a BIG item ticket raffle. There are so many items donated by businesses and friends of the local, River Valley, and Norway area! Tickets for the raffles will be sold until 6:30 p.m. then drawings will begin at 6:45 p.m.
We are still looking for donations of sauce and desserts for the dinner and can accept items for the raffles until 4/13/23.
