AUBURN — Edward Little plated three runs in the bottom of the seventh to hand Brunswick its first softball loss of the season on Monday.

Leah Thibodeau started the Red Eddies’ (3-4) rally with a double, then scored on a double by Kylee Lebrun, who later scored on a passed ball to tie the game at 3-3. Alexis Kelsea drove in the final run with a hard single that brought pinch runner Erin Cowie home to give Edward Little the walk-off run.

The game was tied 1-1 after six innings. The Dragons scored twice in the top of the seventh. Sophia Morin scored on an error then Ellie Sullivan came home on a double by Jorden Cummings. The Red Eddies tagged out Cummings at third to end the frame.

Madisyn Scott pitched the final three innings to earn the win for Edward Little. She and starter Kassidy Lobb combined to strike out five batters.

Sullivan fanned five for Brunswick.

HALL-DALE 17, OAK HILL 1: Jade Graham and Ashlynn Donahue each hit a home run to pace the Bulldogs to the win in Farmingdale.

Rita Benoit added three singles for Hall-Dale (6-0), while Zoe Soule had two singles.

Kelsey Young doubled for Oak Hill (2-4).

LEAVITT 16, ERSKINE 3: The Hornets (6-1) broke out in the second inning with nine runs in the five-inning win over the Eagles (0-7) in South China.

Sam Deblois and Nola Boutaugh each had a triple and a single. Lily Chabot and Logan Arsenault, Hailey Cyr each had a double.

Bryanna Barrett had two singles for Erskine.

MT. ABRAM 13, LISBON 3: Abi Wilcox had a single and a triple in the Roadrunners’ (2-4) six-inning victory against the Greyhounds (2-1).

Savannah Davis and Sakari Savage doubled in the victory, while Eva Spear had four singles. Adrianna Stinchfield picked up the win in the circle.

Ava Kottman had a triple and two singles in the losing effort.

POLAND 17, YARMOUTH 7: Gretchyn Paradis pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts and added five RBIs as the Knights (7-1) topped the Clippers (1-4) in five innings in Poland.

Paradis and Khloe O’Leary each had a double and a single for Poland, and O’Leary had three RBIs.

Drea Rideout had an RBI triple for Yarmouth.

ST. DOMINIC 18, TRAIP 8: Ava Apodaca had a double and triple with four RBI as the Saints (4-3) beat the Rangers (0-5) in Auburn.

Emily Andrews, Sophie Franciose and Ellia Dick each had a double, with Franciose  also driving in three runs. Andrews threw a complete game, allowing four hits and striking out eight with 12 walks.

Emme Hale had a triple and RBI, and Hannah Thorsen added two hits for Traip.

TELSTAR 31, CARRABEC 4: Morgan Zetts had three hits and six RBIs in the Rebels’ (1-3) win over the Cobras in North Anson.

Payton Berry had four hits and five RBIs. Olivia Seames, Makenzie Eliot and Sarah Chase each had three RBIs.

Maylyn Hastings had eight strikeouts in the circle while allowing six hits and one walk in the win.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 7, DIRIGO 6: Santika Hodgkin tripled then scored on Leah Burgess’ single in the eighth inning to give the Phoenix (6-1) a walk-off victory over the Cougars (3-2) in Jay.

Burgess also doubled earlier in the game. Makinlee Holt hit a homer and a single for Spruce Mountain. Rylee Turner had two hits and a single. In the circle, Turner went the distance, striking out seven, and allowing six runs on eight hits.

Lana Waite homered for Dirigo, and Emma MacFarlane doubled and had a single.

LEWISTON 13, MT. BLUE 2: Elissa Nadeau homered and drove in six runs to lead the Blue Devils (1-5) past the Cougars (1-6) in five innings in Farmington.

Nadeau hit a three-run home run in the second inning, which gave Lewiston a 5-0 lead. The Blue Devils added six more runs in the fourth and two in the fifth.

Nadeau finished with three hits. Isabella Enos also had three hits and drove in three runs for Lewiston. Ava Dionne added two hits, including a double, and three RBIs, and Aubrey Peer tallied two singles.

Dionne pitched all five innings, striking out five and walking two.

Alyssa Simineau pitched four innings for Mt. Blue and fanned four batters. She also led the Cougars’ offense with two hits and two RBIs.

BOYS LACROSSE
WINDHAM 10, LEWISTON 9: Blake McPherson scored the winner with 22 seconds left in regulation as the Eagles (4-3) edged the Blue Devils (5-3) in Windham.

Alex Yeaton led Windham with three goals and two assists. Evan Yale and McPherson both finished with two goals.

Eli Bigelow scored three goals for Lewiston and Kyle Graves added two.

WINTHROP/MARANACOOK/SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 7, ERSKINE 4: Owen Lyons had a hat trick and an assist for the Black Bears (4-3) in a win over the Eagles (3-5) in Readfield.

Bennett Ross had a pair of goals and an assist. Ethan Chilton and Owen Dunn also scored, while Cobey Dunn had an assist.

Brady Kilpatrick scored twice for Erskine, and Casey Kilpatrick and Austin Nichols scored a goal each.

MT. ARARAT 11, EDWARD LITTLE 7: Garrett Pray and Jack Thompson each scored two goals in the Red Eddies’ (2-3) loss to the Eagles (4-4) in Auburn.

Andrew Clements, Dexter Morin and Jack Pepin also scored for Edward Little. Thompson, Pepin, Garrett Pray, Austin Sellinger, Tyler Grenier and Orrin Slover had one assist apiece.

GIRLS LACROSSE
BONNY EAGLE 8, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 7: Lauren Manson and Julia Ryan each scored three goals as the Scots (2-4) beat the Patriots (0-6) in Gray.

Kathryn Fullerton and Peyton Cobb also scored for Bonny Eagle.

Andrea Smith had four goals and an assist for the Patriots. Jennah Lynch, Sam Poulin and Amelia Foster also scored. Mya Page made 10 saves.

OXFORD HILLS 16, EDWARD LITTLE 6: McKinley Soehren scored five goals for the Vikings (4-4) in their win over the Red Eddies (1-5) in Auburn.

Kelsey Bennett contributed two goals and two assists for Oxford Hills.

Edward Little’s Stella Smith had four goals and two assists, and Izzy Hayes added a pair of goals and two assists. Piper Bonnefond made five saves.

PORTLAND 8, LEWISTON 2: Eliza Stein scored four goals, and Elizabeth Littell added two goals and an assist as Portland (6-1) handled the Blue Devils (1-6) at Lewiston.

Sydney Trefethen and Gabriella Harrigan also scored for the Bulldogs.

Caitlin D’Andrea and Julia Perkins netted goals for Lewiston.

BASEBALL
DIRIGO 11, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: Trenton Hutchinson had four singles in the Cougars (3-0) victory over the Phoenix (3-3) in five innings in Livermore Falls.

Dirigo opened the scoring with one run in the first inning, and then broke game open with five runs in the second. The Cougars scored two more in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Charlie Houghton and Austin Adams each had three RBIs for Dirigo. Trent Holman threw a complete game, allowing one run on seven hits, striking out five and walking one.

Kolby Cotton went four innings for Spruce Mountain. He struck out five and gave up 10 runs on 11 hits.

EDWARD LITTLE 9, BRUNSWICK 5: Drew Smith had two hits, including a triple, and four RBIs as the Red Eddies (3-4) beat the Dragons (2-4) in Auburn.

Brady Vincent had three hits three RBIs. Gavin Levesque drove in two runs.

Trevor Gerrish had a pair of RBIs for Brunswick.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 13, MADISON 6: A five-run sixth inning led the Falcons (1-5) in a win over the Bulldogs (2-5) in Madison.

Jakob Lapointe had a home run in the seventh inning. Kaden Paaso and Seneca Jones had three hits for Mountain Valley. Zach New had a double in the second inning.

Bradley Sirois went five innings for the Falcons, striking out seven allowing two runs on four hits.

Xavier Estes and Austin Hay had two hits, including a double, for Madison. Estes had two RBIs, and Hay drove in one. Deacon Murray took the loss allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out four.

MT. BLUE 10, LEWISTON 5: The Cougars (5-2) had a five-run fifth inning en route to a win over the Blue Devils in Farmington.

Hayden Durrell had a double and four RBIs. Ike Walsh and Brody Walsh each had two RBIs for Mt. Blue. Hayden Dippner was a homer short of the cycle. Zak Koban struck out six while giving up eight hits. He allowed five runs.

Daniel Pelletier had two RBIs for Lewiston while Ethan Blue and Dylan Whitlow each drove in a run.

OAK HILL 8, HALL-DALE 7: Oak Hill took an early lead and held on to beat Hall-Dale in Farmingdale.

Trent Drouin had two singles for the Raiders (5-1) while Ethan Vattaso doubled.

Ben Nathan had two singles for the Bulldogs (3-4).

YARMOUTH 14, POLAND 0: Sam Lowenstein hit a three-run double during a seven-run fourth and also struck out six in four innings as Yarmouth (3-2) downed the Knights (3-5) in five innings at Poland.

David Swift went 2 for 3 for the Clippers, including a double, and drove in four runs.

MT. ABRAM 12, LISBON 2: Tucker Plouffe had two doubles and four RBIs for the Roadrunners (5-1) in their five-inning victory over the Greyhounds (2-2) in Salem Township.

Bear Rollins and Patton Mitchell hit two singles each. Bryce Wilcox had two RBIs.

Levi Tibbetts had a triple and Jimmy Fitzsimmons doubled for Lisbon.

LEAVITT 7, ERSKINE 2: Noah Carpenter went the distance, striking out eight batters and scattering four hits to help direct the Hornets (5-2) to a win over the Eagles (3-4) in South China.

Carpenter also supplied two hits and a double, and Luke Gladu had two hits and a pair of RBIs for Leavitt.

Erskine was paced offensively by Holden McKenney’s two hits.
