GRAY — Andrea Smith scored four goals and set up two others as the Gray-New Gloucester/Poland girls lacrosse team doubled up Deering 14-7 on Tuesday.
Amelia Foster contributed three goals for the 26ers (2-7), and Emma McMahon tallied two goals and two assists. Ruby Taylor also scored twice, while Sam Poulin, Lexie Wallingford and Hannah Bolduc each added one goal.
Hailey Carson and Kaitlyn Morris tied Smith and McMahon for the team-high in assists with two apiece. Goalie Lilah Thompson made nine saves for Gray-NG/Poland.
Shay Rosenthal was the Rams’ (0-8) top scorer with three goals, and Anja Franck scored two. Goalie Isabelle Adji stopped six shots.
SOFTBALL
MONMOUTH 15, LISBON 8: Rileigh Chase, Brooklyn Federico and Riley Smith had three hits apiece as the Mustangs (11-0) remained undefeated with the win over the Greyhounds (3-5) in Lisbon.
The game was tied at 8-8 after four innings, then Monmouth pulled away with three runs in the fifth, two in the sixth and two in the seventh.
Shanna Parsons, Grace Levesque and Bella Lyons added two hits each for Monmouth. Federico, who tripled, also earned the win in the circle.
Brooke Norman had three hits and Alivia Field two for Lisbon (3-5).
