ORONO — University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H plans to offer a short-term online 4-H club for youth ages 13-18 about basic adult life skills.
The club runs from 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesdays, June 21-July 26.
Required registration closes Saturday, June 10.
The 4-H Adulting 101 series aims to introduce basic adult life skills by exploring a different topic each week. These include personal values, building healthy relationships, buying and caring for a car, youth entrepreneurship, mindfulness and stress management, and a topic chosen by the participants.
UMaine Extension 4-H staff and guest speakers will lead the discussions.
The club is free and limited to 20 participants. Register online at 4h.zsuite.org by June 10 to receive the Zoom link and introductory email.
For more information or to request a reasonable accommodation, call 207-324-2814 or email [email protected].
Additional information also is available on the Extension 4-H Virtual Learning webpage at extension.umaine.edu.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
