PARIS — Senior goalies Delaney Stone and Zaya Vollmar combined to make 11 saves as Oxford Hills/St. Dom’s grounded Messalonskee 7-3 in a girls lacrosse clash on senior day at Gouin Athletc Complex on Thursday.

Stone stood in goal first and stopped five shots, then Vollmar turned away six shots during her turn in net. The Vikings (8-5) held the Eagles (8-5) to one goal in the second half after trailing 2-1 at halftime.

Fellow senior Mallory Kennison was one of three Vikings players with two goals. McKinley Soehren scored twice and added an assist and Kelsey Bennett also tallied two goals. Saige Winslow notched a goal and an assist.

Julia Wade, Abigal Klinge and Emma-Jane Parsons each scored for Messalonskee, with Wade adding an assist. Adrianna Pettengill made seven saves and Shea Cassani recorded six.

SOFTBALL
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 9, DIRIGO 2: Shanna Parsons struck out eight batters and scattered for hits in the circle while recording two hits of her own in the Mustangs’ (14-1) win over the Cougars (6-7) in Monmouth.

Parsons is now 4-0 as a pitcher this season. Brooklyn Federico paced the Mustangs with three hits. Monmouth scored two runs each in the first and second before adding a five-run frame in the fourth.

Lana Waite allowed nine hits in six innings for Dirigo, which scored both its runs in the top of the third.

BASEBALL
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 10, CARRABEC 6: The Phoenix (6-8) answered the Cobras’ (2-11) two-run top of the first with three-run frames in the first and second innings of an MVC win in Livermore Falls.

Reece Davis led the Spruce Mountain lineup with four hits. Eli Moffett and Logan Knight each had two and Max Labonte hit a double. Davis and Moffett each drove in two runs and Davis also stole two bases. Tyler Spugnardi earned the win after pitching the first three innings. Griffin Achorn, Kolby Cotton and Davis each pitched in relief.

Connor Peabody took the loss for Carrabec while pitching the first two innings. At the plate, he had a double among his two hits.
