DIXFIELD — Winning pitcher Sam Calder went the distance on the mound and Isaac Oliveira went 3 for 4 at the plate to lead Monmouth Academy to an 11-1 victory over Dirigo in a Mountain Valley Conference baseball game on Saturday.

Monmouth (14-1) scored six runs in the third and another five in the sixth inning, using 10 hits.

Calder struck out six batters and gave up six hits, and Oliveira knocked in two runs. Luke Harmon tripled for Monmouth.

Trevor Crosby doubled and singled for Dirigo (9-5).

SOFTBALL 
OXFORD HILLS 17, LEWISTON 0: Charlotte McGreevy and Gabby Wright each had three hits as the Vikings (14-1) rolled over Lewiston (2-13) with a victory in South Paris.

The Vikings used 18 hits and erupted with 11 runs in the bottom of the first inning. Maddy Miller and Kaydence Morse both tripped for Oxford Hills.

Aubrey Peer, Angie Valiente and Ava Dionne each collected a hit for Lewiston.
