Roland Louis Bosse

LEWISTON – Roland Louis Bosse, 91, of Lewiston, died Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the Togus VA Hospital, following a long illness.

Born in Lewiston on Dec. 12, 1931, he was the son of Pierre and Blanche Chenard Bosse. Educated in local schools, Roland later enlisted in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He returned to Lewiston following his discharge, and worked for Dom J. Moreau and Sons as an electrician, and later for many years at Country Kitchen Bakeries. He married the former Estelle Duplissis Laliberte, who passed away in 2021.

A member of American Legion Post #153, he also belonged to the Lewiston Senior Citizens, and the Acme and Pastimes clubs. He enjoyed cribbage with friends and family, and sharing his “signature” banana bread.

Survivors include two stepsons, Ronald Laliberte and his wife Tanena of Yulee, Fla., and Patrick Laliberte of Lewiston, two daughters, Patricia Bonnet and her husband Brett of White Plains, Md., and Gerilyn Bosse and wife Denise Hewes of Old Town; two sisters, Blanche Landry of Auburn, and Pauline and husband Sonny Beaudoin of Lewiston; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Albert and Burpee Funeral Home on Friday, June 2, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a Liturgy of the Word Service at 11 a.m. Interment with military honors, St. Peter’s Cemetery.
