Karen L. Allen

FARMINGTON – June 3, 2023, Karen L. Allen, 83, of Farmington, Maine, passed away surrounded by loved ones. On that day, the clouds lifted, and the angels ushered her to heaven to be with Jesus face to face for eternity.

Karen Lee Pineau was born August 5, 1939, to Gerard and Ruth Pineau in Jay, Maine. She graduated from Jay High School in 1957.

Karen traveled to Israel in 1996 with her beloved best friend Barbara to experience a deeper connection to her Christian faith. She was an extraordinary caregiver who was not only dedicated to her faith, but dedicated to ensuring others were taken care of. Matthew 7:12 said “so whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” Karen walked with Jesus for over 50 years and embraced those around her with love, compassion, and kindness. She moved to South Carolina, where she lived for 13 years, before moving back to Maine so she could continue to share her love with family.

Her work was comprised of being a caregiver for seven beautiful children, which I assure you she had her hands full in doing so. She was whole heartily dedicated to caring for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, doing word searches, reading, and listening to Christian music. She attended the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Livermore falls where she practiced her faith.

Karen was predeceased by mother Ruth (Wells) Pineau, father Gerard Pineau, sister Donna Treakle, grandson Bryan Allen, and infant child Bruce Allen.

She is survived by sister Linda Burke, brother Bruce Pineau; daughters Robin Mastine husband Scott Mastine, Barbie Gaudin husband Jason Gaudin, sons Tim Allen wife Cathy Allen, Curt Allen, Scott Allen wife Patricia Allen, Robert Allen Jr wife Sarah Allen, Ricky Allen wife June Allen; and beloved eternal best friend Barbara Jolicover.

She is also survived by grandchildren Racheal, Eric, and Katie Mastine, Amanda Comeau, Ryan and Derrick Allen, Miranda Mack-Jackson, Delaney Allen, Kayla and Jacob Gaudin, Reese and Camryn Allen; and eight great grandchildren.

Karen was a strong fighter, but she is now walking with Jesus on a path we cannot see. We know she is free from pain and is home with the Lord.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June  10, 2023 at 3 p.m. at the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, 4 Fayette Road Shuy Corner, Rt. 133 & 17, Livermore Falls, ME 04254.
