Normand Berube

HAVERHILL, Mass. – Normand Berube, 90, a resident of Lincoln Rd., Newton, NH, passed away Thursday June 1, following a three year battle with dementia at the Hanna Dustin Health Care Center in Haverhill, Mass. with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on Dec. 22, 1932, the son of Thomas and Elsie (Kral) Berube. He grew up in Lewiston and moved to Haverhill. He married the love of his life the former Vivian “Vicky” Huard. He then joined the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict.

Normand was employed for many years with AT&T and Lucent until his retirement. He then moved to Litchfield where he built his retirement home.

Survivors include five sons Normand “Kip” and wife Luanne of Newton, NH, John of Epping, NH, Richard and wife Mary of Kingston, NH, Claude of Raymond, NH., and Guy and wife Joan, and one daughter Suzanne all Haverhill, Mass.; one brother Roland of Pensacola, Fla. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Liturgy of the Word service honoring Normand’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday June 9 at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. Committal prayers with military honors will follow at Litchfield Plains Cemetery in Litchfield.
