SANFORD — Anna Woodward had four goals and Kayla Bolton made 14 saves as fourth-seeded Wells defeated fifth-seeded Maranacook/Winthrop 8-6 in a Class C girls lacrosse quarterfinal played at Sanford High School’s turf field Monday.
The game was a continuation of Saturday’s game, which was suspended due to weather.
Summer Sullivan added a goal and three assists, while Cali Leighton and Jess Palmer also scored for the Warriors (11-4), who led 6-4 with 19 minutes left to play in the second half when Saturday’s game was stopped.
Lily Caban had two goals and Mavia Lenane stopped 13 shots for the Black Bears (9-6).
