The Maine Nordiques announced Tuesday that Nick Skerlick has been named the next head coach of the organization’s North American Hockey League team.

Skerlick previously was the director of the Nordiques Academy and head coach of the 18U team. He takes over for Matt Pinchevsky, who had been the Nordiques’ head coach since Nov. 2021.

The organization also announced two other changes to the coaching staff in a press release Tuesday. Ryan Shelley has been named associate head coach and Kyle Warren has been tabbed as an assistant coach.

Shelley joined the Nordiques for the 2019-20 season at the NA3HL level, and later served as an assistant coach for the 18U team and as a video coach. He also played goalie in college at University of Maine and Framingham State University.

Warren has been with the organization since its inception, according to the press release, and has served roles with the NAHL, 18U and 16U teams.
