Rain in the forecast for Saturday has forced wholesale changes to the high school championship schedule, the Maine Principals’ Association announced Friday.

Saturday’s boys’ and girls’ lacrosse games have been moved to Monday at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland. In boys’ lacrosse, the Class A final between Cape Elizabeth and South Portland will be played at 6 p.m., and the Class C final between Waynflete and North Yarmouth Academy will be played at 12:30 p.m.

In girls’ lacrosse, the Class A final between Kennebunk and Yarmouth will begin at 3:30 p.m., and the Class C final between Freeport and North Yarmouth Academy is scheduled for 10 a.m.

Baseball and softball championship games will be played Tuesday. The Class A and C finals will be played at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham, with South Portland and Edward Little in the A final at 3 p.m., and Monmouth Academy and Bucksport in the C game at 6:30 p.m. The Class B and D finals will be played at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, with Yarmouth facing Old Town in the B game at 3 p.m, and Bangor Christian and St. Dominic in the D game at 6:30 p.m.

In softball, Windham and Oxford Hills will play in the A final at 7 p.m. at the University of Southern Maine, following the Class C final between Hall-Dale and Bucksport at 3:30 p.m. The Class B and D games will be at Brewer High; Nokomis and York will meet in the B game at 7 p.m., and Machias and North Yarmouth Academy will play in the D game at 3 p.m.

Friday’s Class B lacrosse championship games at Fitzpatrick Stadium will go on as scheduled. The Brunswick and Greely girls play at 5 p.m. The York and Messalonskee boys meet at 7:30 p.m.
