Diane V. Nelson

OXFORD – Diane V. Nelson, 73, of Oxford, passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2023. She was born in Lowell, Mass. on July 23, 1949, the daughter of Harold and Geraldine (Campbell) Herbert.

She attended Chelmsford Academy, CMMC School of Nursing and graduated with an associate’s degree in nursing. Diane was a Registered Nurse at Stephens Memorial Hospital until retirement. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, riding motorcycles specifically trikes and was very crafty.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, David A. Nelson Sr. of Oxford; son, David A. Nelson Jr., son, Ricky A. Nelson, daughter, Tina M. Thurston, daughter, Alicia A. Nelson, daughter, Tamisha A. Nelson; two brothers, Richard and Wally Herbert; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 23 from 2 to 6 p.m. at The Outdoor Comfort Center, 674 Main St., Oxford.
