Hancock County Sheriff Scott Kane was in Blue Hill when he saw a mama duck and her babies trying to cross Main Street while dodging cars and trucks.
Sheriff Kane stopped his vehicle and turned on the lights to stop traffic.
Two babies got left behind, so he also helped escort the little family to the other side of the road to make sure they all got there safely.
Sheriff Kane says he never expected to become part of his own “Make Way for Ducklings” story.
