There will likely be rain on someone’s parade Tuesday as showery conditions continue. Another round of showers is likely tomorrow evening. These showers will likely behave similarly to those over the past week with scattered, yet heavy showers, and embedded thunderstorms. NWS graphic

Big improvements are in the forecast this week in Maine, as we gradually dry out and warm our temperatures up. While July 4 looks wet at times during the day, it’s looking dry by fireworks time!

Monday will be damp, especially for the morning. Clouds will then clear out and a few scattered showers and storms will linger into the afternoon. There is a chance of rain in the evening. Highs reach the mid to upper 70s.

Tuesday looks unsettled still. We’ll see showers and mainly cloudy skies through the day, with highs in the 70s.

The great news is shower and storm activity looks to greatly diminish by the evening, with some peeks of sun. Most of Maine looks dry around and after sunset, so fireworks shows shouldn’t have many weather issues.

Monday and Tuesday look pretty wet. Wednesday finally brings a dry day, with a good amount of sun and highs in the 80s. WGME graphic

By Wednesday, real improvements start to show up in our forecast. It will be an almost completely dry day with lots of sun and highs in the 80s. There will only be a slight chance of a mountain shower.

Thursday looks very similar to Wednesday, if not even drier and warmer. Highs will reach the low to mid 80s with mainly sunny skies, with a slight chance for a mountain shower.

Friday continues the warm and steamy weather. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s, some inland towns will be in the upper 80s. A few showers and storms develop during the afternoon, mainly away from the coast.

Scattered shower and storm chances return by the weekend, but it won’t be a washout. Highs will be in the 70s or low 80s.
