Wayne Community Church plans to hold its lobster roll lunch on Saturday, Aug. 12, at 22 Old Winthrop Road.
The church is taking orders for its lobster roll lunch or chicken salad roll lunch. The freshly prepared meals will be ready for pickup between 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at spaced intervals to avoid crowding.
People can eat under the a large tent on the lawn or take lunches packed to go. There is a limited quantity.
The lobster roll lunch costs $28. The chicken salad roll lunch is $10, and the peanut butter and jelly lunch is $5. Gluten free options also are available.
Those who place orders must pay in advance.
Each lunch will include fresh clear lobster mixed with a hint of mayonnaise stuffed in a toasted bun with a bit of lettuce crunch, along with homemade blueberry cake, chips and a beverage. The chicken salad roll lunch will include the same fixings.
