SOUTH PARIS – Pauline Eleanor Heikkinen went peacefully at her home, to be with her Lord, surrounded by her family on Aug. 22, 2023.

She was the daughter of Linwood and Lena Buck and was raised and educated in West Paris. She married Walter Heikkinen on April 3, 1948, and resided at Moody Brook Road for 74 years.

She is survived by her children, Jane of South Paris, Melissa (Roy Blevins) of Massachusetts, Wayne (Sandy) of New Brunswick, Canada; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild expected in December; a sister Martha (John McCormick) of Norway; many nieces and nephews and daughter-in-law Debbie Larson (Nebraska).

She was predeceased by her husband Walter; son Richard; daughter-in-law Sandra; her parents, Linwood and Lena; and siblings, Edward, Virginia and Linwood.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 45 Main St., South Paris with a time of visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
