Barbara L. Freeman
OCEAN PARK – Barbara L. Freeman, 93, formerly of Ocean Park, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, at the St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.
She was born in Biddeford, May 23, 1930, the daughter of Samuel and Lillian Larrabee Downing.
Barbara graduated from Kennebunk High School in 1948 and later worked in local shoe shops.
She was a homemaker for many years.
Barbara was a member of the Pocahontas Club and Pythian Sisters.
She enjoyed playing bridge and knitting.
She was predeceased by her husband Clayton Freeman. She is survived by a son David Freeman of Saco and wife Linda and a daughter Lynda Nailor of Lisbon and husband Robert; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Hope Cemetery in Kennebunk, Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, at 11 a.m.
Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, Saco are entrusted with her services.
