UPTON – Wilfred Lavallee, 73, died Friday Aug. 25, 2023, at his residence on Lavallee Alley in Upton, Maine.

Born in Berlin, N.H., on Nov. 12, 1949, he was a son of Armand and Simonne (Kelley) Lavallee. He attended New Hampshire Schools and when younger worked as a logger. He then became a Boilermaker working in papermills all over the country. He was an avid hunter and fisherman .He loved his garden and was a member of the Lifelong Gardeners Club. He was very competitive and loved playing all manner of games with family and friends. In recent years he enjoyed completing puzzles in his free time.

He is survived by his children, Candy O’Neill and husband Jamie of Berlin, N.H., Penny Binette and husband Steve of Milan, N.H., Sheree Fillds of Berlin, N.H., Nick Lavallee and wife Jamie of Magalloway Plantation, Maine, Courtney Lavallee of Madison, Jessie Lavallee of Talkeetna, Alaska, 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, a sister, Lucille Largesse and husband Earl of Lancaster, N.H.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2023 at the home of Nick and Jamie Lavallee, 19 Kenney Road, Magalloway Plantation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford, ME 04276.
