JAY — Mountain Valley gave Spruce Mountain the slip 1-0 on a second-half goal by Jaden Boulanger in a Mountain Valley Conference girls soccer tilt on Friday.

Emma Dupuis, on a direct kick, assisted on Boulanger’s goal with 26 minutes remaining in the game. Falcons (2-4) goalie Kloee Pelletier made three saves.

Phoenix (0-8) goalkeeper Tyoaka Hodgkin stopped 23 shots.

HALL-DALE 5, MT. ABRAM 0: The Bulldogs (4-2) scored four first-half goals to jump-start their win over the Roadrunners (2-4) in Salem Township.

Hayden Madore scored the first two Hall-Dale goals. Marie Benoit also netted two goals and Sierra Gibbons added one.

Jany Pepin made 18 saves in net for Mt. Abram.

FIELD HOCKEY
WINTHROP/MONMOUTH/MARANACOOK 6, OAK HILL 0: Madeline Wagner had three goals and an assist as the Ramblers (7-0) won in Wales.

Olivia Huri, Lauren Miller and Izzy Folsom also scored in the win.

Sierra Lane stopped 16 shots in the losing effort for Oak Hill (2-4-1).

HALL-DALE 2, LISBON 0: Torie Tibbetts scored twice to lead the Bulldogs to the win in Lisbon.

Jade Graham only had to make one save in the cage for Hall-Dale (4-1).

Sophia Cote stopped two shots for Lisbon (1-3-1).

BOYS SOCCER
BRUNSWICK 1, MT. BLUE 0: Merrick Meardon’s goal in the first half was enough for the Dragons (4-2-1) to earn a road victory over the Cougars (3-2-1) in Farmington.

Anthony Cooley had seven saves for Brunswick, while Chase Ranger made 10 saves for Mt. Blue.

MT. ABRAM 7, HALL-DALE 0: The Roadrunners (7-0) continued their tear through the Mountain Valley Conference and Class C South, this time shutting out the previously unbeaten Bulldogs (5-1) in Salem Township.

Mogan Thibodeau again led the way, netting three goals for Mt. Abram. Sam Cockerham added two goals, while Bear Rollins and Andrew Rother each scored one goal. Payton Mitchell and Killian Pillsbury finished with two assists each, and Ash Rollins set up one goal.

Hall-Dale goalie Ben Nathan made eight saves.
