The University of Maine football team gained just 223 yards and dropped its fourth straight game to start the season, losing 28-3 to William & Mary on Saturday in Williamsburg, Virginia.
The Tribe (4-0) scored 21 points in the second half to pull away. Bronson Yoder rushed 25 times for 163 yards and a touchdown, while Malachi Imoh had 130 yards rushing. Lucas Martin and Darius Wilson also had rushing touchdowns. Wilson completed 8 of 13 passes for 59 yards and a touchdown.
Maine (0-4) managed a 20-yard field goal by Cody Williams in the second quarter. Quarterback Derek Robertson was 10 of 22 for 85 yards and threw an interception. Tristen Kenan rushed 12 times for 30 yards.
BOWDOIN 20, WILLIAMS 0: Koy Price and Max Jacobs each had two sacks and Nick Viscusi had an interception as the Polar Bears (2-0) shut out the Ephs (1-1) in Brunswick.
The Polar Bears won their first two games of the season for the first time since 2005, when they started 4-0.
Andrew Boel threw for a touchdown and rushed for a touchdown, while Jotham Casey and Caden Perry each kicked a field goal.

TRINITY 48, COLBY 7: The Bantams (2-0) scored 30 points in the third quarter to pull away from the Mules (0-2) in Waterville.
Spencer Fetter completed 19 of 30 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns for Trinity. Tyler DiNapoli rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown, and caught three passes for 64 yards and a score. Sean Clapp caught six passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns.
Miles Drake completed 15 of 29 passes for 114 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions for Colby.
HUSSON 50, ANNA MARIA 49: Elijah Garnett scored his fourth rushing touchdown with 2:33 left in the fourth quarter and Cason Markevich added the extra point and the Eagles (2-1) held on to beat the Amcats (2-1) in Bangor.
Anna Maria got within a point with 52 seconds left on a 44-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Russell to Deandre Wallace, but failed on the two-point conversion attempt.
Garnett rushed 29 times for 59 yards. Nic Visser completed 21 of 25 passes for 239 yards and a touchdown. JaQuan Myles had four receptions for 91 yards and a score.
TUFTS 44, BATES 16: Chartellis Reece rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Jumbos (1-1) past the Bobcats (0-2) in Lewiston.
Sergio Beltran caught seven passes for 127 yards and scored both Bates touchdowns, on passes from Colton Bosselait.
(2) MICHIGAN 31, RUTGERS 7: J.J. McCarthy threw a tiebreaking, 18-yard touchdown pass to Semaj Morgan late in the first half and the Wolverines (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten) went on to beat the Scarlet Knights (3-1, 1-1) in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with Coach Jim Harbaugh on the sideline for the first time since serving a school-imposed three-game suspension.
The Wolverines went ahead by 17 points on Mike Sainristil’s 71-yard interception return with 4:31 left in the third quarter. Blake Corum’s second rushing touchdown of the game – his eighth score of the season – put Michigan up 31-7 early in the fourth.
(4) FLORIDA STATE 31, CLEMSON 24: Jordan Travis threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Keon Coleman to start overtime, and the Seminoles (4-0, 2-0 ACC) completed a second-half comeback to win in Clemson, South Carolina, and snap a seven-game losing streak against the Tigers (2-2, 0-2).
Travis also threw for another TD and ran for a score. The Seminoles had not beaten Clemson since an overtime victory in 2014.
(13) ALABAMA 24, (15) MISSISSIPPI 10: Jalen Milroe and Alabama’s offense busted out of the doldrums in the second half and the 13th-ranked Crimson Tide’s defense was strong throughout in a victory over the Rebels (3-1) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The Crimson Tide (3-1) scored 18 points in a 14-minute span –weekend – to pull away from the Rebels in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams.Jalen Milroe and Alabama’s offense busted out of the doldrums in the second half and the 13th-ranked Crimson Tide’s defense was strong throughout in a victory over the Rebels (3-1) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
(16) OKLAHOMA 20, CINCINNATI 6: Dillon Gabriel threw for 322 yards and accounted for two touchdowns as the Sooners (4-0, 1-0 Big 12) welcomed the Bearcats (2-2, 0-1) to the Big 12 Conference with a defeat in Cincinnati.
The UCF transfer completed 26 of 38 passes, rebounding from his three-interception performance in his last trip to Cincinnati’s Nippert Stadium in 2019 and notching his first career victory in three tries against the Bearcats.
LOUISVILLE 56, BOSTON COLLEGE 28: Jack Plummer threw for 388 yards and accounted for six touchdowns to lead the Cardinals (4-0, 2-0 ACC) to a victory over the Eagles (1-3, 0-2) in Louisville, Kentucky.
(2) MIAMI 41, TEMPLE 7: Tyler Van Dyke threw for three touchdowns, Henry Parrish Jr. rushed for 139 yards and two scores, and the Hurricanes moved to 4-0 for the first time since 2017, beating the Owls (2-2) in Philadelphia.
RICHMOND 29, STONY BROOK 19: Andrew Lopez connected on a 28-yard field goal in the final minute, lifting the Spiders (2-2, 1-0 Coastal Athletic Association to a victory over the Seawolves (0-4, 0-3) in Stony Brook, New York.
