FARMINGTON — Mt. Blue pulled away from Hampden with four second-quarter goals to claim a Class A North field hockey victory Tuesday.

Kali Judkins put the Cougars (6-1) up 1-0 with a goal in the first period. The lead ballooned to 5-0 via goals from Bree Griffin, Morgan Hersey and two in a row by Alyssa Parker. Judkins and Griffin assisted on Parker’s goals.

Lily Huntley added a goal in the fourth. Cougars goalie Gwen Lesperance finished with five saves.

Jada Bilodeau made 23 saves for the Broncos (1-7).

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 3, TELSTAR 0: Mallorie Bourret’s two goals paced the Falcons (2-4) past the Rebels (0-8) in Rumford.

Bourret scored in the first and second quarters — goals that were set up by Melina Byam and Ella Young, respectively. Young also assisted on Kaylani Sinclair’s fourth-quarter goal.

Mountain Valley goalie Brooke Brown made five saves, while Telstar’s Lindsy Stephenson finished with 14.

EDWARD LITTLE 2, MT. ARARAT 1: Leah Thibodeau and Helena Moon scored in the first half as the Eddies (5-3) beat the Eagles (5-2) in Topsham.

Phoebe Fitzpatrick scored in the fourth quarter for Mt. Ararat.

Kasey Smith had 16 saves for Edward Little, while Dinika Satras stop three shots for Mt. Ararat.

BOYS SOCCER
CAPE ELIZABETH 5, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: The Capers (5-2-1) scored three goals in the span of nine minutes in the second half to pull away from the Patriots (4-4) in Cape Elizabeth.

Alex van Huystee had a goal in each half, including a successful penalty kick 16 minutes into the game for Cape Elizabeth. Harry Converse added a goal and an assist, while Nathan Ashe and Sam Cochran each had a goal. Tully Hadar had two assists and Grant Kelley had one.

ERSKINE 7, LEAVITT 0: Landon Lefebvre scored four goals as the Eagles (7-2) won handily in South China.

Holden McKenney added three goals for Erskine, and keeper Noah Pelletier made nine saves.

Vanya Bezhenar had eight stops for Leavitt (1-8).

EDWARD LITTLE 5, OXFORD HILLS 0: Dayow Daud scored twice as the Red Eddies (4-3) earned a road win over the Vikings (1-6) in Paris.

Nico Ferraro, Thiago Linhares and Ben Cole also netted goals for Edward Little. Cole, Linhares and Bode Kunas and an assist apiece. Goalie Logan Martin-Mayo stopped three shots.

Quincy Edson turned back 15 shots in goal for Oxford Hills.

GIRLS SOCCER
CAMDEN HILLS 4, MT. BLUE 0: Britta Denny netted a pair of goals in the Windjammers’ (6-1-1) shutout win over the Cougars (2-4) in Farmington.

Grace Westbrook opened the scoring 10 minutes into the first half, and Leah Snyder added another goal 10 seconds before halftime. Denny scored twice in a 2-minute, 38-second span in the second half. Snyder assisted on Denny’s second goal.

Mt. Blue goalie Destiny Hensley stopped nine shots, while Camden Hills’ Maddy Tohanczyn tallied three saves.

CAPE ELIZABETH 4, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Hailey Gorman scored two goals, and Evelyn Agrodnia and Maisie Rayback each added a goal as the Capers (7-1) cruised past the Patriots (3-6) in Gray.

Izzy Morelli scored for Gray-New Gloucester. Abby Joyce finished with nine saves.

MT. ABRAM 0, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: The Falcons (3-5-1) and the Roadrunners (2-5-1) played two halves and two overtime periods without a goal being scored in Rumford.

Goalie Jany Pepin made 13 saves for Mt. Abram. Kloee Pelletier stopped all four shots she faced for Mountain Valley.

VOLLEYBALL
PORTLAND 3, LEWISTON 0: The Bulldogs (6-2) swept the Blue Devils (3-4) in three sets 25-13, 25-17, 25-14 in Portland.

Kaitlyn Shannon and Ja’Zaydah Read each served up three aces for Lewiston. Shannon also had six digs and four kills, while Nadifo Heban tallied four digs, three kills and two blocks.
