Cecile H. Letourneau

LEWISTON – Cecile H. (Dube) Letourneau, 90, a lifelong resident of Lewiston, passed away peacefully at d’Youville Pavilion on Sept. 26, 2023. Cecile was born in Lewiston on Oct. 17, 1932, a daughter of the late Wenceslas Dube and Emilia (Martin) Dube.

Cecile spent most of her career in the food industry. She owned a catering business, was a well-known waitress in the community, owned and operated a restaurant and convenience store, and was a private chef. After retirement she continued to prepare meals for people in need and always had a pot of soup ready to share. Cecile never hesitated to care and provide for others and often times gave more than she had. She found time to volunteer her time at various events including fund raising for local non-profits.

Cecile was a very faithful woman instilling strong values on her family. She loved her family with every ounce of her being and was famously known for saying “I am so lucky for all my children and grandchildren”. She loved ocean days and family gatherings. Cecile was also a champion card player and belonged to several local leagues.

She is survived by her children: Donald Letourneau, Diane Taglienti and her husband Ron, Patricia Cloutier and her husband Robert, Marc Letourneau and his wife Susan. Her grandchildren, Craig, Benjamin, Camille, Matthew, Chelsea, Samuel, and Kyleigh. Her great grandchildren, Khloe, Cole, Maelee, Maxwell, and Walter.

Cecile was predeceased by her brothers, Vincent, Lucien and Maurice and her sister and best friend Laurette.

The family would like to thank the caring staff on 3 West at d’Youville especially Amanda, Sharon, Chelsea, Sam, and Tina for their support. A special thank you to Betty for being a great friend and roommate for our mother.
