AUBURN — A Lewiston man was injured Tuesday morning when he fell ill, causing his truck to hit a utility pole on Court Street, Auburn Police Department Lt. Steven Gosselin said.
Clifford Strout, 66, was injured and transported to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, Gosselin said.
The pole was severed and all electrical and utility wires were down. The pole was replaced.
Firefighters were called to the scene, and assistance was required from Central Maine Power, Auburn Public Works and Water departments, and Unitil gas company.
