AUBURN — Lewiston swept Edward Little in three sets in Tuesday’s volleyball match.

The Blue Devils (5-9) won the sets 25-14, 25-23, 25-18 and defeated the Red Eddies (0-14) for the second time this season.

Kaitlyn Shannon showed out for the Blue Devils, with 14 kills, nine aces and three digs. Nadifo Heban had six kills, three digs and two aces; Mika Torres dished out 10 assists; Ja’Zaydah Reed recorded five assists and one kill; and Aubrey Peer added five aces and five digs.

BOYS SOCCER
FRYEBURG 6, POLAND 1: Nivaldo Lucato de Souza Neto recorded four goals as the Raiders (10-4) cruised past the Knights (6-6-2) in Fryeburg.

Hugo Sala Marseca and Andre DiMolfetta each had a goal and an assist for Fryeburg. Myles Willimann made four saves.

Sam Paladino made seven saves in goal and scored on a penalty kick with five minutes remaining for Poland.

MT. BLUE 6, HAMPDEN 0: Eli Walker tallied two goals to help the Cougars (5-8-1) close out the regular season with a shutout win over the Broncos (3-9-2) in Farmington.

JJ Greenlaw, Jose Gutierrez, Julian Reynolds and Gage DeCarolis also scored for Mt. Blue, and Nate Zeliger added a pair of assists.

James Stinson secured the shutout with four saves, while Sam Shearer stopped nine shots for Hampden.

“Big game for us. Had to win to get in (to the playoffs). We were in 10th going into today,” Mt. Blue coach Zac Conlogue said. “Guys really came to play.”

FIELD HOCKEY
DIRIGO 0, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Brooke Brown made 16 saves in goal as the Falcons (5-8-1) hung on for a scoreless draw in double overtime against the rival Cougars (10-2-2) in Rumford.

Keira Kelley made three saves for Dirigo, which finished with a 10-3 advantage in penalty corners.

GIRLS SOCCER
FRYEBURG 3, POLAND 1: Jilyan Byrne’s two second-half goals clinched the Raiders’ (5-9) win over the Knights (2-11-1) in Poland.

Grace Audette gave Fryeburg Academy a 1-0 lead going into halftime. Thea Thornton tied it for Poland 10 minutes into the second half.

Byrne put the Raiders back on top and then put the game away with the last two goals.
