SABATTUS – Edward Collins, 92, of Sabattus, died Tuesday Oct. 17, 2023 at The Hyder Hospice House surrounded by his family.
He was born in St. Agatha on Nov. 4, 1930, the son of Albert and Leda Collins. He resided in Maine all of his life except the last year where he resided in Dover, N.H. to be closer to family that could help take care of him.
Edward had owned several companies over the years. He owned a restaurant that was famous for his blueberry muffins and a tire company. He was a hard working man that loved his family and friends. He loved fishing and gardening with his wife. He had a love for woodworking as well. Edward aka as “Eddie” or “Pepere” had a smile that could light up a room. He told it how he saw it, and had a good sense of humor. He lived a wonderful long life.
Members or his family include his wife, Pauline (Morrisette) Collins, of Sabattus; his son, James Collins and wife Irene of Rollinsford, N.H., son, Normand Collins and wife Susan of Buckfield, son, Paul LePage and wife Ann of Ormon Beach, Fla., stepdaughter, Deb (Morrisette) Delano and husband Devon of Sabattus, stepson, Bob Morrisette and wife Sarah of Auburn, and a daughter-in-law, Irene Gagne and her husband Glenn of Lewiston; brother-in-law, Don Maillette and his wife; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Leda Collins; all his siblings Normand, Rita and Doris; his first wife and mother of his children, Pauline (Maillette) Collins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. at the Pinette Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway Lewiston, ME 04240. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
