The New England Patriots won’t catch the break they might have hoped for against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

A day after Tua Tagovailoa had an ominous comment about Tyreek Hill potentially missing some time because of a hip injury, the Dolphins star wide receiver – the speedy wideout limited to just 40 yards in Week 2 against the Patriots – returned to practice and looked just fine on the field.

Hill didn’t practice Wednesday ahead of Miami’s Week 8 matchup with the Patriots at Hard Rock Stadium, which caused concern for Dolphins fans – especially after Tagovailoa said they would get Hill back “somewhere down the line.”

When asked about his absence, Hill had some humor behind his answer.

“No, I just wanted some attention, man, because my mom wasn’t talking to me yesterday. So I needed some attention from somebody,” Hill told the Palm Beach Post. “I’m good, though.”

So, does that mean he’ll play Sunday?

“Yeah, baby. I’m good, baby,” Hill said.

• Jalen Ramsey was also limited for Miami as he works his way back from a knee injury he suffered during training camp. Coach Mike McDaniel didn’t rule the cornerback out, but wouldn’t commit to him making his debut this weekend.

PATRIOTS: New England is adding more speed and a former top prospect to its 53-man roster by signing wide receiver Jalen Reagor off the practice squad and to the active roster, according to reports.

Reagor replaces quarterback/receiver Malik Cunningham, who was released on Monday and is expected to sign with the team’s practice squad.

Reagor joined the Patriots practice squad in September after he was released by the Vikings. The receiver has impressed in practice and the Patriots elevated him to the active roster for three games this season. He caught his first pass for the Patriots last week.

A first-round pick by the Eagles, Reagor was selected 21st overall in 2020. He spent the first two seasons of his career in Philadelphia where he caught 64 passes for 695 yards with three touchdowns. He was traded to Minnesota last season and caught eight passes for 104 yards with a touchdown.

• New England running back Ty Montgomery missed practice after being limited Wednesday because of a knee injury. His absence, however, wasn’t injury-related. Defensive lineman Keion White (concussion) was upgraded to limited.

STEELERS: Defensive tackle Cam Heyward returned to practice or the first time since tearing a groin muscle in a season-opening loss to San Francisco.

Doctors cleared Heyward early Thursday following the latest in a series of MRIs. He went through the majority of the two-hour workout with his teammates, though the 13-year veteran cautioned it’s too soon to say when he’ll be ready to return to the lineup.

“That’s above my pay grade,” said Heyward, who is on injured reserve. “I’m sure someone’s got it planned out for me, but I hope to beat that (plan).”
