I am writing to support the reelection of Paul Beauparlant to the Lewiston School Committee.
He possesses to a high degree two valuable characteristics necessary for school board members: knowledge and commitment.
Paul knows public education. He spent over four decades teaching at the middle and high school levels, advising students in the Interact Club, wrote and taught a sociology class for high school students, and chaired the social studies department.
His children went through the Lewiston school system, so he knows the academics and the co-curricular activities of the system very well.
Paul has fulfilled his commitment to education in his diligent work on the curriculum and school facilities sub-committees. But his greatest asset is his commitment to listening to his constituents. Any decisions made will be only after listening to all points of view.
It is my earnest hope that he will be reelected.
