100 Years Ago: 1923
The ladies of the west Minot Union Circle will hold their usual fair at the grange hall. There will be quilts on sale, an orange tree, fish pond, domestic table and display of fancy and useful articles, ice cream and homemade candy on sale. Supper will be served from 5:30 to 7:45 with entertainment in the evening.
50 Years Ago: 1973
Mrs. Jan Smith of Auburn, innovator and director of CONTACT, a program designed to help teen age boys and girls facing unwanted pregnancies will address the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of St. Louis Church at a meeting at the church hall Thursday. Members are invited to bring teen-age girls as guests.
25 Years Ago: 1998
The United Methodist Women of Calvary, 59 Sabattus Street will hold their annual rummage sale from 5 to 7pm. Friday and Saturday, from 9 to 11 am. A variety of clothes and household goods will be available. Proceeds will benefit the mission program.
