The program, “I’m sorry Sugar, but we need to break up,” will take place in the Picker Room at the Camden Public Library as well as on Zoom.

The women will discuss the increasing sugar content found in diets today, and its hidden effects on people’s bodies. Topics will include gaining better insight into the different types of sugar found in foods, ways to keep blood sugar from spiking, and tips for lowering blood sugar after eating, according to a news release from the library.

The audience will come away with tips to help “break up” with sugar to regain energy, lose weight and decrease inflammation.

Orne and Czuchra combine years of experience in traditional medicine as a physician assistant and in family medicine and cardiology to their roles as women’s health functional medicine consultants. They are both trained by the School of Applied Functional Medicine and are passionate about empowering women to optimize their health and gain vitality.
