Born from a yearning for a traditional bluegrass sound in the heart of New England. Born from a yearning for a traditional bluegrass sound in the heart of New England.
When the band started, there was not a single all-women bluegrass band on the national touring scene. One of the main goals of grammy nominated Della Mae from the start, was to showcase strong women in bluegrass. Their musical style seamlessly blends years of experience with traditional mountain music and modern singer-songwriter sensibilities.
The band has toured throughout the U.S., playing festivals, music clubs, house concerts, churches, and conducting workshops. These ladies draw from a well of influences to create vibrantly original music that conveys their expansive musical vision with timeless lyrical truths and a contemporary sensibility all their own.
Tickets cost $30.
