If you want to donate money, please make checks payable to LACO Food Pantry. We feed about 3,500 people per month and this is a fundraiser to help us keep going. Thank you for your support. — Bert, Lisbon
ANSWER: I know there are crafters out there who will want to participate in this Lisbon Falls tradition. See you there!
DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Leeds Food Pantry has an abundance of adult disposable underwear (similar to Depends) that have been donated to us over the past year.
We would like to give some away to another organization or to an individual that could use them, as our storage space is limited. Sizes are mostly large, XL and XXL. Please call 524-7151 if you can use some. — Sue, Leeds
ANSWER: Thank you for sharing these items. They are expensive!
DEAR SUN SPOTS: About a week ago I read about an organization in Lewiston that helps women and can use winter coats. I have some to give. — Mel, Lewiston
ANSWER: The letter you’re referring to (Nov. 16 Sun Spots) was for The Center for Wisdom’s Women in Lewiston. They need women’s winter coats and jackets, gloves, hats and boots in all sizes.
The center is at 97 Blake St. behind Healy Terrace Apartments. It is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for drop-offs. For more information, call 513-3922.
I also want to remind everyone that the center is having a Holiday Fair on Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sophia’s House at 143 Blake St.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: Maine-ly Harmony Barbershop Chorus has holiday performances where the group will be singing a treasury of songs of the season.
“Peace on Earth” will be held at the Randolph United Methodist Church, 16 Asbury St. in Randolph, on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m.
There is a suggested $10 donation for admission and we will have raffles to benefit the church’s heating fund. There will be light refreshments and Santa Claus will be there in person!
We believe we all need some “peace on earth” — at least for one afternoon.
We will also be singing at the Lithgow Library in Augusta on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 6:30 p.m. and the public is invited.
Women who love singing harmony are welcome to join the chorus Wednesday evenings at the Randolph United Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact Donna Ryder at 582-5523 or dryder076@gmail.com — Lea, no town,
ANSWER: These opportunities to listen to beautiful holiday music will be good for the soul. I hope the audience is filled with Sun Spotters, and perhaps some of you will consider joining the group!
