Jordan High seniors are to have their class party on Wednesday evening next at Mrs. Heth’s Academy. The committee of arrangements includes John Hassett, Agnes Forbes and Bertha Couture.

50 Years Ago: 1973

A mini bazaar is being planned at St. Casimir Nursing Home on Nov 28 featuring for-sale handcrafted items made by the residents. There will be knitted goods and other handmade crafts in addition to jewelry.

Mrs. Constance Cyr is in charge of the overall arrangements. The event is open to the public and coffee will be served during the hours from 10 am to 3 pm.

25 Years Ago: 1998

Hillary Rodham Clinton visited US supported hospitals in Haiti Sunday, one of the few encouraging signs from a dictatorship, but not from poverty. Mrs. Clinton was winding up a tour of hurricane-ravaged Central American and Caribbean countries where she promised more disaster relief.
