Tracey Hanna rearranges the window display Monday afternoon at her downtown Lewiston business, Tracy Jean’s Coffee Boutique, at 50 Lisbon Street as she keeps an eye out for a big delivery. Hanna will host a soft opening Friday, just in time for Lewiston’s holiday celebration this weekend. The space was originally a high-end jewelry shop when built in 1860. More recently, the former Sherman Oakes restaurant painted it orange. “I have always loved this building, and the woodwork and details are amazing,” Hanna said. She and her boyfriend bought the building. They are not sure what they will do with the second floor, but plan to renovate and live on the third floor. Russ Dillingham/Sun Journal

The marker in the doorway of 50 Lisbon Street represents the building’s first owner, a high-end jewelry story, which was later taken over by Gil Poliquin Hearing & Optical Center that operated for decades. Other businesses have come and gone since, including Break Coffee that opened at the start of the pandemic, and most recently, Sherman Oakes restaurant. Now, Tracy Jean’s Coffee Boutique is there, and will hold a soft opening on Dec. 1. Russ Dillingham/Sun Journal
