Auburn’s annual tree lighting celebration slated for Friday night was postponed due to forecasted rain, the city announced Thursday.

In a social media post, the city said it is combining its annual celebration with the United New Auburn Association’s tree lighting. The joint ceremony is scheduled from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

The Christmas Shopping Village will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
