Tom Giberti of Auburn, right, is honored Tuesday as a Hero Among Us at the Boston Celtics home game against the Chicago Bulls. Giberti was at Just-In-Time Recreation bowling alley in Lewiston on Oct. 25 when a gunman opened fire, killing seven people. He helped several children flee the building but was shot multiple times as he shielded them. The Celtics’ Heroes Among Us program recognizes individuals who have made exceptional and lasting contributions to their communities. Submitted photo
