PORTLAND — Curtis Wheeler scored twice to lead St. Dom’s to a 4-2 season-opening win over Portland/South Portland/Deering/Waynflete at Troubh ice Arena on Thursday.

Tim Ouellette netted the go-ahead goal, and Ben Dumais also scored for St. Dom’s. Connor St. George and Spencer Morgan each had an assist.

Hewitt Skyes and Lucas Milliken scored in the second period for the Beacons. Conor Greene, Hunter Temple and Ian House were credited with assists.
