AUBURN— One person was transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening on Main Street in the area of Laurel Street, officials said.

Auburn Police Lt. Justin Richardson said officers were dispatched at 5:15 p.m. and arrived on scene about three minutes later.

Richardson was directing traffic to Newbury Street, a detour bypassing the Main Street accident, around 5:45 p.m. when he said one person was sent to the hospital for a minor injury from the crash, which also resulted in at least one car being towed away.

Main Street traffic was reopened shortly after 5:45 p.m.
