LEWISTON — Police responded to a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Main and Bates streets which put one in the hospital, according to police.

Michael Artzer of Boothbay was driving a 2013 Ford Fusion northbound on Main Street when he missed a red light and struck two other vehicles coming from Bates Street, a W.B. Mason panel truck driven by Ryan Mellor, of Bath, and a 2014 Dodge Durango driven by Mangombo Baziluka, of Lewiston.

Lewiston police Lt. Derrick St. Laurent said first responders were called to the crash at 3:10 p.m. and had Mellor transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Northbound traffic on Main Street was rerouted to Park Street. Bates Street was blocked off from Oak Street to the site of the crash. Roads opened back up just before 4 p.m.
