BUCKFIELD — Four double-digit scorers led Buckfield to a 63-53 victory over Islesboro in a boys basketball game Friday.

Krosby Harvey paced the Bucks (3-4) with 14 points, while Justin Lucas finished with 13, Gaven Parsons had 12 and Brayden Monto scored 10. Braden Cousineau and Ethan Dutil contributed eight and six points, respectively.

Islesboro’s Robert Conover topped all scorers with 26 points for the Eagles (3-2). Teammate Finnegan Calderwood added 14 points.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 48, POLAND 47: Mansuk Loboka got his only basket of the game with eight seconds left, lifting the Panthers (3-4) over the Knights (0-5) in Poland.

Nate Oney scored 26 points and Brayden Kloza added 13 for NYA.

Damon Martin and Anthony Warren each tallied 13 points for Poland, which made 10 3-pointers. Warren and Travis West (nine points) each made 3 3-pointers, and Martin and Alex Mains (eight points) both converted a pair of 3s.

RANGELEY 56, VINALHAVEN 26: Brayden Thompson’s double-double led the Lakers (1-5) to their first win of the season, a convincing 56-26 takedown of the Vikings in Vinalhaven.

Thompson scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Anthony Whittier finished one rebound shy of a double-double, tallying 10 points and nine rebounds. Sam Morrill made two 3-pointers and racked up 14 points for Rangeley.

Three players scored for Vinalhaven: Ira Stockman netted 13 points, Hunter Hamilton had seven and Anthony Roberts had six.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
BUCKFIELD 35, ISLESBORO 16: Points were hard to come by in the first half, but both teams heated up in the third before the Bucks (4-2) eventually finished off the Eagles (4-2) in Buckfield.

Sarae Devoe and Addison Stevens-Belanger dropped in 10 points apiece for Buckfield, and Chloee Bennett buoyed the offense with nine more.

Alma Bewsher scored a team-high nine points for Islesboro, which trailed 13-3 at halftime before scoring nine points to Buckfield’s 13 in the third quarter.

HALL-DALE 59, LISBON 6: The Bulldogs (4-0) remained unbeaten with a win over the Greyhounds (0-6) in Lisbon.

Ten players scored for Hall-Dale, led by Jade Graham’s 15 points and Hayden Madore’s 14.

Delaney McGrath scored four points and Kasie Booker had two for Lisbon.

MADISON 37, DIRIGO 32: The Bulldogs (6-0) survived a physical contest with the Cougars (1-5) to earn a victory in Dixfield.

Alison Griffeth led Madison with a game-high 16 points, which included 8-of-14 shooting at the free-throw line. Raegan Cowen added eight points.

Sophie Nino-Agguire led a balance Dirigo offense with seven points, while Aleiah Ward and Abby Luczynksi scored six apiece and Keira Reny had five points. Lana Waite pulled down 12 rebounds for the Cougars.

MONMOUTH 74, TELSTAR 46: Rileigh Chase tallied 17 points for the Mustangs, leading them to victory over the Rebels in Bethel.

Haley DeHahn and Tarynn Keleher were Monmouth’s (2-5) second-highest scorers, contributing 14 points each, while Maeve Burgess and Kaitlynn Frost scored 13 each for the Mustangs, who have won two in a row.

Telstar’s (2-4) Morgan Zetts tallied a game-high 37 points. She also pulled down 24 rebounds.

WINTHROP 59, KENTS HILL 34: Ella Rice finished with 17 points for the Ramblers in their home win over the Huskies.

Rice hit three 3-pointers. Haley Williams chipped in 12 points and Kylee Mansir and Madeline Wagner added 10 apiece for Winthrop (4-2).

Lucy McDonald tallied 13 points for Kents Hill (0-3).
