AUBURN — Firefighters battled a blaze Saturday night at a mill building at 67 Minot Ave.
Crews were alerted to the fire at 5:34 p.m. according to Auburn Deputy Fire Chief Matthew Fifield.
Crews found smoke when they got to the scene and shortly after located flames in a back part of the building.
Within 20 minutes, the crews were able to gain control of the fire and no extension of flames were found in the main part of the building.
No injuries were reported.
Assisting Auburn fire on scene was Lewiston Fire Department. Crews from Minot, New Gloucester and Poland provided station coverage and Auburn police and public works secured the building and controlled traffic.
Southbound lanes on Minot Avenue were closed off briefly.
