LEWISTON — Good Shepherd Food Bank has received a $50,000 grant from Chick-fil-A to expand its Youth and Family Initiatives program, which provides consistent and affordable access to nutritious and culturally relevant foods at over 233 community sites.

Good Shepherd Food Bank was one of 51 grant winners, who are collectively receiving $5.48 million in donations through Chick-fil-A’s True Inspiration Awards program.

The nonprofit food bank is committed to distributing over two million meals in times that children are most likely to experience hunger: after school, weekends, school vacations and during the summer months.
